York Men's Shed invites all men in York to attend York Men's Shed with their family, to participate in a social event including a barbecue lunch. York is a popular town for retirees, and we plan to showcase what our Shed has to offer men of all ages on International Men's Day.

Our facilities are comprehensive and situated on a 2 Ha block. The Shed caters for people with a disability enabling them to be actively involved. For example to undertake mechanical work in the small engine workshop, it has been equipped with a Gantry hoist and work table useable in a seated position. This allows for heavy items such as ride on mowers to be unloaded and placed on the work bench without physical strain.

A vegetable garden with raised beds also caters for people with limited mobility.
