When is International Men’s Day 2021?

International Men’s Day will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021.

Celebrated now in more than 80 countries around the world, IMD acknowledges the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities.

It is an opportunity to raise awareness of men’s health and well-being, and to call out positive and diverse role models.

Check in with us as the year progresses for suggestions on how you can celebrate International Men’s Day this year and how to get your workplace, community, local government and friends involved.

In 2020 – despite the restrictions placed on events due to the impact of COVID-19 – many people adapted across Australia. Barbecues, breakfasts, forums, barefoot bowls, webinars … a wide-range of groups and individuals took part in the day.

Even the hit television series Neighbours paid tribute to men by producing a special International Men’s Day episode.

The Australian Men’s Health Forum  plays a lead role in supporting International Men’s Day and helps others to celebrate men by providing advice on how to mark the day, and resources that can be used to heighten awareness of IMD.

These include downloadable social media graphics that can be customised, posters that prompt discussion on a wide range of themes and a talk about men’s stuff that can be delivered by anyone as it comes with speaker notes, suggestions for questions and an interactive quiz.

We also publish a calendar of International Men’s Day activities on this website.
