Nominate a Men’s Health Champion for IMD 2024

Men’s Resources Tasmania is calling for nominations for a new set of International Men’s Day awards, highlighting this year’s theme, Men’s Health Champions.

The Awards are to recognise individuals who are making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of boys and men in Tasmania.

“Whether through personal acts of kindness and support, grassroots community initiatives, or leadership in health advocacy, these champions deserve recognition for their efforts to create a healthier future for men and boys,” say the organisers on the nomination form.

There are four categories to choose from, which echo the sub-themes outlined on the International Men’s Day website.

Building Healthy Communities recognises individuals who are actively working to create and nurture healthy communities for men and boys. These champions dedicate their time and effort to initiatives that promote physical and mental well-being, ensuring that men and boys have the support and resources they need to thrive.

Looking Out for Your Mates celebrates individuals who have made a significant impact by supporting men in their lives, especially those going through tough times. These champions offer emotional support, advocate for open conversations, and foster a culture of care and connection within their communities.

Take Action, Stay Healthy honours individuals who inspire others to take charge of their health and well-being. Whether by promoting healthy lifestyles, engaging in physical activity, or advocating for mental health awareness, these champions encourage men and boys to take proactive steps to lead healthier lives.

Creating a Healthier Future
acknowledges individuals who are leading the charge toward systemic change for men’s health. Through advocacy, leadership, or innovative ideas, these champions are shaping policies, raising awareness, and creating a future where the health and well-being of men and boys are prioritised.

The winners will be announced at Men’s Resources Tasmania’s IMD breakfast on Tuesday 19th November at RACV Hobart Hotel, starting at 7am. Get tickets
