IMD live podcast on men’s mental health

The Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) ACT is marking International Men’s Day 2024 with a live podcast on men’s mental health.

IPAA’s Work with Purpose live podcast at the Rex Hotel in Braddon on 20th November – one day after IMD – will look at men’s mental health policies and initiatives in Australia, and how to create environments that foster resilience, gratitude, and vulnerability at work.

IPAA describes itself as a not-for-profit, non-partisan member-based organisation, “empowering and inspiring public sector professionals to do great work”.

“We provide members with a platform for debate and discussion about improving and striving for excellence in public administration in Australia through thought leadership, events, and networking opportunities.”

Also open to non-members, the IMD live podcast is aimed at health policy and delivery professionals, HR and culture leaders, organisational heads, diversity and inclusion practitioners and advocates, and anyone interested in men’s mental health.

Led by David Pembroke, CEO of contentgroup, the podcast will feature Matthew Short, assistant secretary, Child, Youth and Priority Populations at the Department of Health and Aged Care, Matthew Breen, founder of Running for Resilience, and Lachie Vivian-Taylor, General Manager of Claims Management Group at Comcare. Attendees will be able to submit questions anonymously to the panel via an app and take part in a networking session after the event.
