Help choose Australia's International Men's Day 2023 theme

Help us choose the International Men’s Day 2023 theme for Australia.

International Men’s Day is celebrated in dozens of countries worldwide and this year will be held on Sunday 19 November.

The Australian Men’s Health Forum is a long-standing supporter of International Men’s Day and, since 2018, has hosted the International Men’s Day website for Australia, listing events happening around the country and providing a range of resources and information to help people celebrate IMD.

Each year AMHF identifies a theme for the day that is unique to Australia. For example, in 2022 the focus was on “Celebrating Mateship” and people were invited to “Make time for mates” on International Men’s Day by:

  • Making time for old mates
  • Making time to make new mates
  • Reaching out to mates doing it tough

This year a number of themes are up for consideration around a variety of topics including men’s mental health, men’s issues, masculinity, boyhood and fatherhood.

AMHF is inviting people to provide feedback on these topics before settling on the 2023 theme.

Please complete the online survey and tell us what you think.

The theme will be announced on 1 June 2023, after which a new toolkit will be developed to support individuals, groups and organisations in creating an event to celebrate International Men's Day.
