Grants Open to Support Men’s Health in the Illawarra

Healthier Illawarra Men (HIM) has launched a new round of grants to mark International Men’s Day 2025.

The men’s health charity is seeking to back initiatives that:

  • Raise awareness of men’s health and wellbeing (including mental health)
  • Encourage positive behaviours to prevent domestic, family, and sexual violence
  • Deliver direct benefits to men across the Illawarra region

Applications close on 17 October. HIM would love to hear from any group or organisation on a mission to make a difference in men’s lives.

Charities need to address the following questions in their applications:

  • What is the purpose of your charity?
  • Who is your target market?
  • How long have you been operating?
  • List recent programs delivered and outcomes achieved/success stories?
  • What challenges do you have as a charity?
  • How do you reach and engage with your target market?

Target Market

  • Which regions does your charity serve?
  • What percentage of funding is focused on the Illawarra?
  • What percentage of funds raised is directed to administration?
  • Provide an outline of how funds donated by HIM would be used
  • Will you provide updates, including marketing opportunities to HIM, regarding how those funds have impacted your charity?

Healthier Illawarra Men is a non-profit organisation promoting men’s health in the Illawarra region. Their mission is to empower men to make positive choices for their physical and mental health. They started in 2020, and money raised from each year’s International Men’s Day event is reinvested into local men’s health initiatives throughout the Illawarra region.
