Michael Winnel wants to change societal attitudes. In Australia about 10% of newborn boys are circumcised. But these little boys are permanently disfigured without their consent after undergoing brutal cuts to the most sensitive part of their bodies. The AMA has dismissed supposed health grounds. The majority of cuts happen because Dad is circumcised, hardly a convincing reason. Religious rationales are finally declining but the practice has to stop just as female genital mutilation ended here.
