Centacare Men's Hub is hosting the Annual International Men's Day event. To celebrate, we have engaged special guest speakers Jordan James and Billie Wilkins. The evening will include catering, refreshments (non alcoholic), music and art entertainment. Hope to see you all there!
Guest Speaker Profiles:
Billie Wilkins
Billie, a Warumungu woman, has recently moved to Geraldton from the Northern Territory, where her community and country are 530km north of Alice Springs. With 20 years of experience in the Community Development and Health sectors, predominantly with Aboriginal Medical Services and ACCHOs, she has dedicated her career to growing the First Nations workforce in health and primary prevention. Billie's presentation will highlight the critical role men play in preventing men's violence against women, and in creating a safer and more respectful world for women.
Jordan James
Jordan James entered the real estate industry at 17 years of age in Geraldton with Ray White and has climbed the ladder of corporate success to own his own office by the age of 23. On the outside looking in, most people would say Jordan was living the success many agents strive for, albeit inside he was struggling mentally and emotionally, and it all came to a head in 2020 when he found himself unable to leave the house, suffering from depression, anxiety and burnout. Jordan knew that if he was to continue down this path that there would be major consequences to his well-being, happiness, and zest for life.
Jordan’s journey of self-discovery and healing has been full of ups and downs and will provide you an in depth look at alternative healing methodologies such as ice bathing and breathwork and how they have transformed Jordan’s ability to not only perform at a high level inside his business but how it has impacted his motivation to experience an extraordinary life beyond the real estate game.
Jordan’s most recent venture was a solo trip to a remote part of Germany where he spent 98 hours in total Darkness and Silence in a solitary setting. He believes in taking radical self-responsibility to an extreme level and says “Every individual has a responsibility to heal the parts of themselves that no longer serve them. Every moment presented to us while we are still breathing is an opportunity to push past our limitations of experiences that no longer serve us.”
At 29 years old Jordan is a family man with a fiancé and three children, managing a regional real estate business located in the mining capital of WA that currently employs 25 staff.
