Men from the Blackburn Men's Walk and Talk group will be celebrating International Men's Day with a 5km walk around Blackburn Lake on Saturday 18th November 2023.
The walk is open to all men interested in meeting other men in the area, getting some physical exercise, enjoying time in nature and having a chat on the way. We will be meeting at 8am outside Blackburn train station on South Parade. The walk will take 2 hours to complete and we will finish at Koonung Cottage Community House for morning tea.
Blackburn Men's Walk and Talk is a group for men in Eastern Melbourne interested in developing meaningful and supportive connections with each other while enjoying the health benefits of walking in nature.
Walks are run by the men taking part supported by Koonung Cottage. Walks will start at 8am, taking place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month starting and finishing outside the railway station on South Parade, Blackburn. The walks will follow a circular route of 5km using quiet back roads to link walking trails through Blackburn Lake Sanctuary and along the Blackburn Creeklands.
