On November 19 International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families, and communities. On the 26th October at Buchanan Park Xstrata Entertainment Complex, we wish to highlight our local positive male role models in our district (Camooweal, Mount Isa & Cloncurry) and raise awareness of men’s well-being with the Popeys Diesel Services 2024 International Men’s Day Awards Dinner.
Award Categories
2024 Man of Achievement – Open to all ages; a nominee who demonstrates strong leadership, is a positive role model with the design, implementation or promotion of a project that has helped their district, local sporting groups, schools/charities/non-for-profit groups, events, organisations/workplaces or families either in a paid or unpaid volunteer role.
2024 Local Hero – Open to all ages; a nominee who demonstrates strong leadership and is a positive role model for the Mount Isa Community through volunteer unpaid work.
2024 Youth Leader - Open to ages 18 years and under; a nominee who demonstrates strong leadership and is a positive role model to their own peer group & others.
The evenings event entertainment includes Demolition Derby, Gold fish races, beer maid barrel races, Key note speaker Ex NRL football player Antonio Winterstein
