In the run up to International Men's Day (IMD) and throughout November we are highlighting 100+ groups around Australia doing great work to support men and boys.

The theme for IMD 2025 in Australia is Supporting Men and Boys. Help us grow our list of great organisations supporting men and boys in Australia to 200+. If you know of any groups that you think we should add to our list email: [email protected]

Are You Bogged Mate?
Are You Bogged Mate? is all about helping country blokes talk about mental health and suicide while spreading awareness about depression in the bush. It is run by Mary O Brien, who has spent her whole life working in rural and remote Australia and knows country blokes. Mary and her team are based in Queensland and deliver talks to rural communities - and men in particular - around Australia.

Ballarat Men's Mental Health
Ballarat Men’s Mental health (BMMH) is a mental health organisation based in Ballarat. BMMH is dedicated to improving the mental health of men in the Ballarat region and reduce rates of suicide. It is breaking down barriers by connecting local men to professional help and ensuring the first three sessions are free in Ballarat.

Barstool Brothers
As the name suggests, Barstool Brothers began life in a bar - His Boy Elroy in Kiama, NSW. The team behind the charity noticed there was a lack of suitable social environments for men to come and build supportive relationships. Using the bar as it's connecting point, Barstool Brothers is building a community of men who understand and are aware of their own mental health and can help those around them.

Baw Baw Big Blokes
Baw Baw Big Blokes began in 2021 when it hosted the inaugural Baw Baw’s Biggest Ever Blokes BBQ in West Gippsland. Since then it has raised nearly $2m for men's health, with the funds distributed between the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and local initiatives.

Beer + Bubs
Beer + Bubs provides expectant dads with the knowledge and confidence they need to support their partners through childbirth. Over the past 20 years, they've grown into a trusted resource for dads across Australia, offering practical, hands-on education in a relaxed pub setting.

Beyond the Barbell
Beyond the Barbell aims to create safe, welcoming and enjoyable spaces where men can work out and benefit physically, psychologically and socially from a support network of like-minded people. Inspired by research conducted by founder Michael Murphy at Victoria University, Beyond the Barbell offers sessions for men to gather, engage in physical activity, discuss mental health and receive peer support.

Black Dog Ride Australia
The Black Dog Ride hosts bike rides across Australia to raising awareness of depression and suicide prevention and building social links for riders, community members, and community groups in the process. The majority of riders are men who raise funds that are distributed to community projects. Recently Black Dog Ride Australia has been working to deliver more funds to men's mental projects through initiatives like the Black For Ride Pitchfest hosted at the National Men's Health Gathering (22-24 November 2025).

Blokes Psychology
Blokes Psychology is a psychology practice on a mission to change how mental health support is offered to boys and men across Australia. What makes them different is their approach to men's mental health. They say they've built a service that speaks to men, not around them or over them.

Brave Brothers
Brave Brothers is a Bundaberg-based initiative in Queensland that's passionate about supporting men’s health, raising awareness about suicide, and addressing domestic abuse. Their mission is to create a supportive space where men can tackle life’s challenges head-on. Through resources, programs, and initiatives like the Brave Brothers Coffee Trailer and public talks, they aim to break down stigma, spark meaningful conversations, and connect men to support.

BROS GLOBAL
BROS GLOBAL is a WA-based initiative providing information on counselling and support for men with mental health challenges, through online referrals from around the world. Founded by Dr Simon Yam PhD, a professional counsellor, Simon brings lived experience perspective of men's mental health  to his work and provides access to  mental health apps and podcasts through the BROS GLOBAL website and social media pages.
